Death Certificate Information
During an arrangement conference with a decedent's family, one of the items discussed is the number of certified copies of the death certificate that are needed to take care of financial and administrative matters. If the death occurred in Monroe County, we can obtain these copies at anytime. Death certificate copies are currently $30/copy.
If the death occurred outside of Monroe County, then the death certificate is filed in the locale (county, city, town or village) where the individual passed away. The time frame to obtain these copies as well as the cost per copy varies depending on the locale.
